I am a certified Usui Reiki Master/Teacher and Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher
from ICRT. I am a Reiki therapist and teacher at the TriHealth Integrative
Health and Medicine Center located in Cincinnati, Ohio. I operate an active
Reiki practice with clients and I also regularly teach Reiki training workshops
(all levels) in Cincinnati. I conduct many lectures on Reiki at different
organizations, universities, for medical students and corporate offices.
For the past 26 years, I have been a student, teacher, facilitator, and
practitioner of different healing energy modalities. I am a member of
ISSSEEM. I am a Healing Touch practitioner and have learned the advanced
practice of Healing Touch by Lt. Janet Meutgen (founder of HTI). I have done
my Feng Shui training as a practitioner with Mr. Ravi Chadha, a renowned
Feng Shui teacher and independent consultant in India.
I successfully organized and run the Reiki Practitioner support group at the
Hospice of Cincinnati for the last few years. This support group is for Reiki
practitioners meet for group practice and share their experiences with each
other. I am also the organizer of Reiki for the Hospice Volunteers and Staff.
What is REIKI?
Rei: universal, cosmic, divine or what is present all around us.
Ki : the life force energy - the energy which keeps us alive.
Ki, Chi, or prana are different words, with the same meaning –
life force energy
(Ki in Japanese, Chi in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit).
So Reiki is a divine cosmic energy or universal life force energy.
As long as the “ki” is in abundance in
our body, the body is healthy, happy and in harmony.
History of REIKI
Reiki energy is of Divine Origin. The history of Reiki goes back over 2500 years and is well documented in the Vedas, and writings of Tibetan monks. It was rediscovered, and rediscovered again during the late 1800s by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Christian theologian and a dean of a university in Kyoto, Japan.
